The 47 RM Commando Association family gathered at HMS President on Saturday 11th July to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the disbandment of the Commando and demobilisation of our veterans.
The black-tie dinner was attended by our Association Life President, Admiral the Rt Hon Lord West of Spithead GCB DSC PC (former First Sea Lord), our President Colonel Karl Gray RM (present day CO 47 Commando) and many families and friends of our veterans.
The stunning location adjacent to the river Thames and Tower Bridge along with the fine sunny weather all added to good food, good wine, good music and good company to ensure a most successful and fitting event to honour the high achievement of 47 RM Commando in WW2.
