Here is an interview with a 47 Royal Marine Commando Veteran, Harry Prescott.
Harry with his 47 comrades, liberated a town called Port en Bessin Normandy D-Day plus 1. They landed at Gold beach on the 6th June 1944 and moved on foot round to the rear of the town (12 miles) and surprised the German troops in defensive positions on the 7th June.
