(*Military Medal) Wounded 1 November 1944. Sgt. Horsfield took part in both the Normandy landings, and the liberation of Walcheren. At Walcheren he received shrapnel wounds when his landing craft was hit. After the war he returned to being a member of Lancashire Constabulary.
